Senior Environmental Project Manager | Stepps, North Lanarkshire (Hybrid) | Full Time 35 hours per week, with core hours of 10 am12 pm and 2 pm4 pm, and flexibility outside these times | £42,578 per year, with opportunities for progression

What will your role look like?

As Senior Environmental Project Manager , you will lead the delivery of complex environmental water improvement projects, with a particular focus on the Water Environment Fund (WEF) portfolio. You will help create sustainable, greener places that deliver long-lasting environmental and social benefits across Scotland.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading client-side management of WEF and other environmental projects from feasibility to delivery
  • Overseeing procurement and contract management (NEC4, PCS compliance)
  • Managing project risks, quality, budgets, and schedules throughout the lifecycle
  • Coordinating design and technical inputs from consultants, contractors, and partners
  • Providing accurate progress, financial, and risk reporting
  • Building strong relationships with SEPA, local authorities, funders, communities, and stakeholders
  • Supporting Project Managers and Officers in project delivery
  • Championing best practice and continuous improvement
