Job summary

A leading project development and construction company is seeking a Senior Engineering Surveyor to join their infrastructure team. The role primarily involves supporting technical teams to ensure project needs are met and proper survey networks are established. Candidates should have a relevant degree and significant experience in surveying, coupled with full professional membership of CICES or an equivalent body.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Land Surveying or Engineering Surveying or equivalent.
  • Experience as a Senior Engineering Surveyor required.
  • Full professional membership of CICES or equivalent body.

Responsibilities

  • Support Chief Engineering Surveyor and Engineering Survey Manager in technical work.
  • Develop engineering survey teams for project needs.
  • Ensure appropriate survey control network exists for construction.
  • Set out works as per contract requirements before commencement.

Skanska has teamed up with National Highways to deliver the A47 road improvement scheme to reduce congestion and improve safety on the A47. We are looking for a Senior Engineering Surveyor to join our infrastructure team. The role will be primarily based on-site, initially at our A428 office in St Neots, followed by a transfer to our A47 office in Thurrock.

What you'll do:

  1. Support the Chief Engineering Surveyor and/or the Engineering Survey Manager in coordinating all technical work streams.
  2. Develop the engineering survey teams to meet project needs.
  3. Ensure the project has the appropriate survey control network to fulfill construction requirements.
  4. Set out the works in accordance with the contract requirements before work is scheduled to commence.

What you'll bring to the role:

  1. A degree in Land Surveying or Engineering Surveying, or ONC/B Tech in Land Surveying or Engineering Surveying, with previous experience as a Senior Engineering Surveyor.
  2. Extensive knowledge of survey instruments, software, and working methods.
  3. Full professional membership of CICES or an equivalent body.
