Qualifications

• Experience within ITPs, RAMs & Temporary Works.
• Excellent knowledge of current civil engineering legislation.
• Ability and confidence to discuss engineering issues with people across various levels.

Responsibilities

• Establish and promote best practice in health, safety and environmental matters.
• Assist with temporary works design schemes.
• Advise engineers on setting out methods and techniques.
• Ensure sufficient, accurate information for construction of the works.
• Communicate with foremen and supervisors.
• Oversee selection and requisition of materials.
• Prepare written risk assessments and method statements.
• Keep an accurate daily site diary.
• Ensure completion of inspection and test plans.

Skills

Experience in Construction or Civil Engineering projects

Knowledge of civil engineering legislation

Ability to discuss engineering issues

Ability to implement safe systems of work
