Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical systems design, preferably in aerospace or robotics.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Draft sight, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar.

Responsibilities

  • Design and integrate electrical architectures for fixed-wing and VTOL UXVs.
  • Develop wiring harnesses and power distribution networks.
  • Collaborate with avionics and mechanical teams on system integration.

Skills

Proficiency in Draft sight

Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electrical System Design Engineer (UXV) to join our expanding team. You will be responsible for the design, development, and integration of robust electronic systems for vision, motion and control of our advanced unmanned aerial and surface vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Design and integrate electrical architectures for fixed-wing and VTOL UXVs
  • Develop wiring harnesses, power distribution networks, and EMC / EMI-compliant layouts
  • Select and qualify electrical components (power supplies, converters, relays, connectors, etc.)
  • Collaborate with avionics, propulsion, and mechanical teams on system integration
  • Conduct system-level testing, fault diagnostics, and ground / flight trials
  • Document designs, test plans, and technical reports for regulatory submissions and internal QA
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical systems design, preferably in aerospace or robotics
  • Proficiency in tools such as Draft sight, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar
  • Strong understanding of power electronics, battery management systems, and avionics integration
  • Experience with low-voltage power systems (12–48V), DC-DC converters, and grounding strategies
  • Ability to produce schematics, harness drawings, and electrical BOMs
Desirable requirements
  • Experience with UAV systems or uncrewed platforms
  • Familiarity with DO-254, DO-160, or AS9100 workflows
  • Python or embedded programming exposure for test automation
  • Exposure to RF / antenna layout considerations and EMI shielding
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace standards (RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD-704, etc.)
  • Hands‑on testing experience and familiarity with oscilloscope, multimeter, CAN analyzers, etc.
