Job Description:

Our client, part of a group with nearly 200 years of history and over 5,500 employees worldwide, specializes in bespoke heavier engineering and materials handling activities. Due to ongoing growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their Leeds office and support their electrical engineering team.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the role involves:

  1. Developing control system designs and specifications.
  2. Coordinating site, application, and design engineering resources.
  3. Ensuring effective interfacing between design, production, procurement, and installation teams.
  4. Understanding applicable industry standards.
  5. Managing project technical content, costs, quality, and documentation within budget.
  6. Liaising with customers and their engineering representatives.

Candidates should have a Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with at least 5 years of electrical design experience in engineering or manufacturing. Proven experience in a drawing office environment, project management skills, and excellent communication are essential. Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical 2020 (or similar) and knowledge of low voltage motor speed control applications are advantageous.
