A major UK engineering firm in Manchester is looking for a Senior EC&I Designer to deliver high-quality electrical, control, and instrumentation designs for water-sector projects. Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in electrical design and strong knowledge of relevant standards. The role involves producing design deliverables, ensuring compliance with legislation, and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams in a hybrid working environment.
Location: Manchester (Office based – remote working can be discussed)
Scope: Outside IR35
Working Pattern: Hybrid (2–3 days per week in the office, typically Tuesday to Thursday)

The business typically works within frameworks and collaborative delivery models, partnering closely with clients to manage technical, regulatory, and stakeholder challenges associated with nationally significant infrastructure projects.
The Senior EC&I Designer will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical, control and instrumentation (EC&I) designs across a range of water-sector projects. The role involves producing and checking detailed design deliverables, ensuring compliance with UK legislation, industry standards and company procedures, while working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
