Job description
The Opportunity

Document Controllers will provide a document management service for the projects to which they are assigned in a robust, reliable and timely manner, using appropriate electronic systems.

What you will be doing
  • Assist in production and approval of project Information Standards and Methods & Procedures
  • Maintain project collaboration tool administration area
  • Assist TDC Design Team to ensure accurate distribution of information, management of comments and approval cycle and ensure project deadlines are met
  • Carry out QA checks on all published information/documentation in accordance with project document control procedure
  • Resolve drawing/document issue queries
  • Receive/check/distribute documents in accordance with project procedures/distribution matrix
  • Provide project related help and support to all project users, internal and external
  • Liaise with collaboration tool vendors on regular basis on all software issues
  • Produce all reports in accordance with project requirements, both internal and external
  • Co-ordinate, arrange, record and review all project collaboration tool training requirements
  • Ensure Field app is set up and protocols are agreed on a project
  • Agree reporting frequency and production of reports
  • Administration support on Field app
  • Provide help and training for internal and external parties
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Document and Drawing numbering systems and the relevant British and relevant International Standards inclusive of ISO19650
  • Develop awareness and improve knowledge of other information management applications
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as designated by the project
  • Attend DTM and any other relevant Project meetings
  • Assist with IMS technical queries
  • Assisting with the collation of O&Ms and managing the document control handover process
What we will need from you
  • 2+ years’ Document Control experience, ideally in construction/Government projects
  • Strong knowledge of QMS, digital handover, and EDM systems (Asite/Viewpoint preferred)
  • Skilled in Excel, PDF editing, mobile devices, and collaboration tools
  • Process mapping, resource management, and general technical ability
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, methodical, and able to prioritise under pressure
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills; reliable, flexible, and proactive
