Overview
ICE Clear Credit is seeking an experienced business leader to drive growth in core relationship management opportunities and business development across EMEA. The ideal candidate will bring proven track record of building, operating and growing markets businesses, deep front-office experience in corporate and government bonds, derivatives, and options, combined with a demonstrable track record of building and developing client relationships, driving new product strategy and adoption, and fostering cross-business opportunities.
This role will be central to engaging with hedge funds, real money investors, and banks, ensuring client needs are met while aligning with ICE’s strategic growth priorities across clearing and trading platforms.
Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management
- Maintain and grow a strong network of relationships across hedge funds, real money managers, and banks in the EU region.
- Develop and execute creative strategies to strengthen existing client engagement and support adoption of new products.
- Serve as a trusted partner, ensuring clients’ requirements are clearly understood and addressed across risk, technology, and operations.
- Business Development & Growth
- Identify and pursue opportunities to expand ICE Clear Credit’s franchise, focusing on new product support, adoption, and increased client activity.
- Partner with internal trading platforms to drive synergies, particularly in the EU bond market.
- Build strong partnerships with service providers (e.g., bank Primes/FCMs) to align product launches with client demand.
- Source and champion innovative ideas from across the ICE franchise to deliver additional value to clients.
- Internal & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Define and communicate client-driven priorities to risk, technology, and operations teams, ensuring timely execution.
- Operate collaboratively across ICE’s businesses to identify and pursue cross-product opportunities in clearing and execution.
- Provide insights and advice to colleagues, leveraging market experience to strengthen team strategy and delivery.
Knowledge and Experience
- Extensive front-office experience in credit bonds, derivatives, and/or options products.
- Strong track record in relationship management and business development, with tangible examples of delivering client growth.
- Established network of hedge fund, real money, and bank relationships across the EU region.
- Solid understanding of Prime Brokerage and FCM businesses, with the ability to lead high-value discussions.
- Demonstrated ability to influence internal stakeholders, align cross-functional teams, and communicate complex requirements effectively.
- Experience in partnering with trading platforms, particularly in the bonds space, is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build trust with senior clients.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and developing opportunities.
- Strong team and people management experience; ability to identify, attract and grow top industry talent across a range of roles within the business, ability to motivate direct and indirect team members with clear strategic vision, provide leadership and guidance to focus and maximize individual and team potential
