A leading engineering firm in Bletchley is looking for a Senior Design Engineer to take charge of designing Jigs and Fixture components. You will be responsible for translating conceptual ideas into finished models and ensuring designs meet necessary objectives. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in Siemens NX CAD software, experience in designing mechanical components, and a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Are you a skilled Design Engineer with a passion for precision engineering and mentoring more junior members of the team? This can offer that step up into a senior role, if not already at that level to develop your skills even further.

About the Role:

In this role, you’ll play a key role in designing Jigs and Fixture components and full assemblies, translating conceptual ideas into finished models to win proposals and be ready for manufacturing. Collaborating closely with manufacturing, assembly, and quality teams, you’ll ensure that designs meet cost, quality, and time objectives.

What You’ll be doing:
  • Contribute to the conceptual design phase and communicate with customers as needed.
  • Create detailed 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings using Siemens NX.
  • Support prototype manufacturing phases, ensuring collaboration across teams.
  • Work alongside the CAM Programming team to optimise manufacturing processes.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Proficiency with Siemens NX CAD software.
  • Experience designing mechanical components.
  • Knowledge of modern manufacturing processes, including CNC Machining & 3D printing is an advantage.
  • Degree-qualified in Mechanical or a related Engineering discipline.
