Contract Type: Permanent / Full Time
Location: Bradford, London or Petersfield
Working Pattern: Hybrid—typically a couple of days a week in the office. Part-time or flexible arrangements are considered to support work-life balance.

The Role

We’re looking for a highly analytical and driven Senior Credit Risk Analyst to join our team, focusing on optimising Existing Customer Management strategies. You will leverage data-driven insights to enhance lending decisions, balance risk and reward, and support business growth through robust credit strategies. You’ll lead complex analytical projects, deliver actionable recommendations, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effectiveness. You and Your Team

You’ll join a high-performing, collaborative Credit Risk team that sits at the heart of customer decisioning. We are a data-led, insight-driven function focused on optimising strategies that balance risk, reward and responsible lending. The team emphasizes continuous improvement, innovation, and meaningful business impact. This role reports to the Credit Risk Manager and will work with senior stakeholders across Credit Risk, Product, Finance, and Operations to ensure strategies are effective and aligned with wider business goals.

As a Senior Credit Risk Analyst, you will:
  • Develop expert understanding of the customer management lifecycle, including decisioning and customer touch points.
  • Support the optimisation of lending decisions through test-and-learn initiatives to identify champion strategies.
  • Support business growth and portfolio profitability while balancing risk, reward and responsible lending, and controlling credit quality and performance.
  • Ensure lending decisions are accurate and appropriate through close tracking and monitoring.
  • Perform inquisitive and innovative analysis with logical recommendations for customer and/or business benefits.
  • Deliver complex analytical/data-driven projects with customer and business implications.
  • Support the automation of MI and processes to maximise integration, effectiveness and efficiency.

What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years of experience in an analytical role within a Credit Risk environment.
  • Experience of strategy optimisation or scorecard cut-off setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Coding skills with SAS/SQL/Python or similar.
  • Ability to work with high detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to plan and organise work effectively and prioritise deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Retail Consumer Lending products such as credit cards, loans, overdrafts or mortgages.
