Senior Cover Supervisor

Permanent, Term time plus 5 inset days

TA Grade 4 – (Grade 6) SCP 18 – 22, £31,537 to £33,699 FTE (£27,091 to £28,948 per annum (actual))

Our Lady of the Magnificat MAC are looking to recruit a Senior Cover Supervisor. This role will be based at St Augustine’s Catholic High School the Senior Cover Supervisor will:

  • Complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or short term for whole classes, it may also involve progress and monitoring students and assessing, recording and reporting on students’ achievement, progress and development.
  • Be responsible for students’ learning and behaviour in those circumstances where a teacher is not available to teach a class or where a group of students need special supervision.
  • Manage the provision of cover supervisors and day to day management of Supply Staff
  • Manage the cover of teaching staff ensuring the smooth delivery of Teaching and Learning.
