Overview

As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness is at the core of your work across Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. You will plan and implement care that gives residents security, dignity and independence, develop personalised care plans, lead a team of Care Assistants, maintain high standards of care, and support residents and families. You will assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, provide physical and mental stimulation through activities, and administer medication. You will maintain accurate records and build strong team relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain the highest standards of care.
  • Plan and implement personalised care to ensure security, dignity and independence for residents.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including mobility aids, meals, and communicating with families.
  • Administer medication in line with policy and involve residents in activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and build strong relationships with the team.
Qualifications and qualities
  • Level 2 Diploma/SNVQ in Adult Care (preferred) and willingness to work towards Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
  • Brilliant positive energy, ability to get along with people, good record keeping, and time management.
  • Kindness, consideration and genuine care in all interactions.
  • Safeguarding awareness; attend safeguarding training and undertake additional training.
Employment details

Salary: £13.50 to £14.10 per hour

Location: Fazakerley House, Prescot area
