A leading care provider in Wakefield seeks a Senior Care Assistant for night shifts to deliver high-quality, personalised care to residents. As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. You will help ensure our residents are treated as individuals with their own stories, and you will have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.
Night Shift Position working 3 on 3 off rotation 8 to 8. Plan and implement care that gives residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence. Get to know residents and their families to deliver truly personalised care plans. Lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain the highest standards of care, acting as a positive influence on the team. Support residents with daily activities such as mobility and meals, and communicate with families by phone when needed. Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing physical and mental stimulation through activities, and administer medication.
Maintain accurate records of your work and build strong relationships with the team. Contribute to a background in person-centered care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia. Ideally, have a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care and be prepared to work towards Level 3 or equivalent. Have a strong ability to communicate with residents and colleagues with kindness and professionalism.
