Overview

Senior Care Assistant at HC One. Kindness is at the core of all care across Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. The role involves supporting residents as unique individuals with their own stories, and providing opportunities to make a meaningful difference.

Job responsibilities

This is a full-time role with night shifts, 44 hours per week. You will:

• Plan and implement care that gives residents security, dignity and independence
• Lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain high standards of care
• Show residents how to use mobility aids, assist with meals, and communicate with families
• Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager with physical and mental stimulation through activities
• Administer medication and maintain accurate care records
• Develop personalised care plans and build strong team relationships
• Possibly complete a Level 2 Diploma/SNVQ in Adult Care and work towards Level 3 or equivalent

Qualifications and experience

Essential: background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia; ability to maintain accurate records and manage time; positive energy and interpersonal skills. Desirable: Level 2/3 Health & Social Care qualification or equivalent.
