Overview

This role as a Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare in Northampton offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on residents' lives every day. You will be part of a caring, supportive, and inclusive team, delivering high-quality personal care in a safe and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor the wellbeing of each resident, be aware of any changes impacting care and care plans, ensure new needs are met, and amend records to reflect any variation.
  • Be involved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
  • Support residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertake staff supervisions and support staff with their development where required.
  • Act as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are escalated.
About the Role

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, noting any changes that affect care and care plans, and updating records accordingly.
  • Involvement in person-centred care planning and monthly evaluations.
  • Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff development as needed.
  • Acting as a key contact for residents, their relatives and visitors, and health and social care professionals, ensuring requests are addressed and concerns escalated.
