Job description

This is a role for a Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, a leading provider of luxury elderly care homes in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, and to create a safe, caring, inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

Main duties

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant is to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. You will monitor the wellbeing of each resident, be involved in the person-centred care planning process, support residents with their medication requirements, and undertake staff supervisions and support staff development. You will act as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives and visitors, and health and social care professionals.

  • Monitor the wellbeing of each resident, noting any changes impacting care and care plans, ensure that new needs are met, and update written records accordingly.
  • Be involved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
  • Support residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertake staff supervisions and support staff development where required.
  • Act as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals, ensuring reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are escalated as needed.
