Overview

Senior Buyer (Fresh Produce) – Location: Lincolnshire. Office-based (5 days on site), 8:00am to 5:00pm. Type: Full-time, Permanent. Salary: Strong salary plus attractive package. Join a dynamic fresh produce business where commercial excellence and customer focus are at the heart of what we do. We are looking for a hands-on Senior Buyer with fresh produce experience to manage supplier relationships, deliver customer-focused procurement plans, and ensure the smooth flow of defined fresh produce categories. Based on-site, you\'ll work closely with Sales, Supply Chain, and Procurement teams to ensure customers receive consistent, high-quality service. This role blends account management and procurement — a varied position for someone commercially aware, organised, and proactive.

Responsibilities
  • Managing fresh produce procurement and supplier relationships
  • Communicating daily with customers and growers
  • Developing and maintaining procurement plans to maximise profitability
  • Monitoring stock levels and ensuring efficient rotation
  • Leading customer and grower projects, including visits and onboarding new suppliers
  • Advising Directors on commercial activity and market developments
