Overview

Senior Business Analyst - Trade Brokerage - Belfast/Hybrid - up to £65,000 + Bonus

We are partnered with a leading global trade brokerage at an exciting stage of technology modernisation and business growth. Operating at the centre of global financial and commodities markets, this firm connects clients with liquidity, data, and trading solutions across multiple asset classes.

The Role
  • Partner with product managers and stakeholders to gather, refine, and document business requirements

  • Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories for development teams

  • Work closely with engineers to ensure solutions are designed, tested, and delivered to meet business outcomes

  • Support agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives

  • Collaborate with compliance and regulatory teams to ensure solutions meet industry standards

  • Perform business process analysis and identify opportunities for improvement

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the business, ensuring requirements are aligned with strategic goals

  • Contribute to user acceptance testing, release planning, and post-implementation reviews

Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst in financial services, ideally within trading, brokerage, or capital markets

  • Strong knowledge of trade lifecycle, market infrastructure, and regulatory frameworks (MiFID II, EMIR, etc.)

  • Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to work across business, operations, and technology teams

  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum practices

  • Ability to analyse complex processes and propose clear, structured solutions

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience influencing senior stakeholders
