A well-established business in Tunbridge Wells is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to join their team on a part-time basis (3 days per week). Responsibilities

  • Monitor bank activity and maintain cashflow.
  • Process supplier payments and complete bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare VAT returns and maintain import/export data.
  • Post journals and manage debit notes.
  • Carry out credit card reconciliations, stock checks and monthly adjustments.
  • Support credit checks and deal with currency transfers.
  • Prepare monthly payroll information and handle PAYE, NI, and pensions.
  • Ensure timely payment of statutory taxes.
  • Assist with audits, year‑end tasks and annual company filings.
  • Oversee the Credit Controller and cover annual leave.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Bookkeeper to join my clients' well‑established business based in Tunbridge Wells, on a part‑time basis (3 days per week).

Duties will include:

  • Monitoring bank activity and maintaining cashflow
  • Processing supplier payments and completing bank reconciliations
  • Preparing VAT returns and maintaining import/export data
  • Posting journals and managing debit notes
  • Carrying out credit card reconciliations, stock checks and monthly adjustments
  • Supporting credit checks and dealing with currency transfers
  • Preparing monthly payroll information, handling PAYE, NI and pensions
  • Ensuring timely payment of statutory taxes
  • Assisting with audits, year‑end tasks and annual company filings
  • Overseeing the Credit Controller and covering any annual leave

The successful candidate will be someone with strong attention to detail, good working knowledge of accounting processes, and confidence handling day‑to‑day and monthly financial tasks.

In return the company is offering a competitive salary (Full‑time equivalent), plus a monthly commission structure based on targets, company‑wide closure over the festive period, a relaxed culture and more.
