The Role:

Blackpeak is expanding its EMEA practice and is recruiting a Senior Associate to join its London-based team. Our Senior Associates support clients’ due diligence and business intelligence needs through full-cycle case management, research, coaching, and quality control. Candidates should have relevant industry experience and a desire to be part of a diverse, high-quality team. This is a client-facing role with clients including investment banks, private equity firms, hedge funds, asset management companies, corporates, and law firms.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage investigative research assignments from request to delivery.
  2. Research and prepare client-ready reports, analyzing findings and human source inquiries for clear conclusions and actionable intelligence.
  3. Edit and quality control reports, coaching researchers as needed.
  4. Prepare competitive proposals in response to client RFPs.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
  • 3-4 years of relevant experience in due diligence and business intelligence reporting.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in another European or Middle Eastern language (e.g., Russian, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Turkish) is required.
  • Proficiency in investigative research, including proprietary databases, media archives, and records research.
  • Ability to convert research findings into client-ready reports.
  • Experience managing cases from proposal to delivery, with resource and cost management skills.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Good time management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills for client discussions.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Understanding of concepts like sanctions, political exposure, financial crime, fraud, corruption, money laundering, tax evasion, and ESG.
