Key Responsibilities

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Allocations & Lettings Officer to join our team. This role involves leading the delivery of housing allocations and lettings across a diverse portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of housing supply, affordability challenges, and various tenures emerging from new build developments.

You will manage high volumes of customer and stakeholder enquiries, coordinate new build supply, and proactively manage housing availability to meet demand. This position focuses on permanent housing allocations, not temporary accommodation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the allocation and letting of permanent housing stock across various tenures.
  • Respond to and manage a high volume of customer and stakeholder enquiries, including those from Councillors and partner agencies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely delivery and readiness of new build homes.
  • Navigate affordability issues and match applicants to suitable housing options.
  • Manage sensitive conversations with applicants on the housing register, providing clear guidance and realistic expectations.
  • Advocate for clients while balancing organisational priorities and housing availability.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to service development and improvement.
Ideal Experience:
