SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Leicester

Pay: £95 - £110 per day (dependent on experience)

We are recruiting a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work in schools across Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and helping them reach their full potential.

The role
  • Supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
  • Working 1:1 or in small groups to support learning and emotional development
  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
  • Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
  • Supporting pupils with personal care where required (depending on the setting)
Ideal candidate
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN (school-based experience preferred)
  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain)
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
