Job summary

A reputable recruitment agency is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a special primary school in Canning Town, East London. The role involves supporting children with autism and profound needs on a full-time basis. Candidates should have at least 6 months of relevant experience, strong relationship-building skills, and a clear DBS check. This is an ongoing position with immediate starts available.

Qualifications

  • At least 6 months experience supporting students with autism and SEMH difficulties.
  • Experience working with children aged 4 to 11 years.
  • Must provide personal care and support as needed.
  • Clear DBS registered to the update service.

SEN Teaching Assistant - Special Primary School - Canning Town, East London

SENCare Recruitment are currently working on behalf of a special primary school that is seeking experienced teaching assistants to support children who have autism, mild and profound needs and SEMH.

Start: ASAP

Duration: 5 days a week - ongoing.

Hours: 8.30am - 4.30pm

The ideal teaching assistant -
  • will have at least 6 months experience supporting students with autism, social emotional mental health difficulties, some profound needs.
  • experience supporting students aged 4 - 11
  • will provide personal care
  • able to follow students ECHPs
  • experienced with ASD, PMLD, SEMH, trauma, sensory processing, and social communication teaching background
  • the ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with vulnerable students
  • have a clear DBS registered to the update service - child and adult checked.
