Overview

Job Title: SEN Teacher

Company Overview: The Supply Register are a managed service working alongside 4 multi academy trusts within Devon & Cornwall including Plymouth CAS, Dartmoor Academy Trust, WAVE Academy Trust and Transforming futures trust.

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and adaptable SEN Primary Teacher to join our team.

Position Overview: Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs (SEN)? Our school community is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join our team. If you\'re committed to providing high-quality, personalized support to help every student thrive academically and personally, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities
  • Deliver Tailored Instruction: Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across a range of subjects, adapting teaching strategies and materials to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of students with SEN, including autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning challenges.

  • Individualized Support: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, implementing specialized interventions and accommodations outlined in their Individual Education Plans (IEPs) or Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).

  • Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Conduct regular assessments to track students\' progress and inform instructional planning. Collaborate with other professionals, such as SENCOs and educational psychologists, to evaluate students\' needs and adjust support strategies as necessary.

  • Behaviour Management: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment by implementing effective behaviour management strategies and providing social-emotional support to students with SEN.

  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents/carers, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to supporting students\' academic, social, and emotional development. Attend and contribute to SEN review meetings and other relevant forums.

Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching students with SEN, preferably in a school or educational setting.

  • Specialized training or qualifications in SEN education, such as a Postgraduate Certificate in SEN or equivalent, are highly desirable.

  • Strong understanding of different learning needs and the ability to differentiate instruction and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual students\' requirements.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, parents/carers, and external stakeholders.

  • Patience, empathy, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting the holistic development of students with SEN.
