An educational support provider seeks a qualified Tutor to deliver 1:1 Maths and English support for KS1–KS4 students who are out of mainstream education. The ideal candidate will have QTS or equivalent and experience with students diagnosed with Autism or ADHD. This role involves assessing student abilities, delivering lessons in local libraries or homes, and is flexible with hours during the school day.

Overview

Prospero Teaching are partnered with Local Councils and SEND teams throughout the UK. We provide educational support to individuals who are currently out of mainstream education, those seeking additional support, and individuals with SEND.

We are currently looking for a Tutor with Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent to provide KS1-KS4 Maths and English support on a 1:1 basis who is not currently accessing mainstream education.

Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 KS1–KS4 Maths and English support to students who are out of mainstream education, with a diagnosis of Autism or ADHD.
  • Assess students' current ability and reintroduce education into their routine while a suitable school provision is found.
  • Deliver lessons in a local library or the student’s home.
Position Details
  • Role: KS1–KS4 Tutor
  • Hours: 10–15 hours per week (during the school day)
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Duration: ongoing
Experience, Training and Qualifications
  • QTS or equivalent
  • Experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
  • UK classroom teaching experience
  • Creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
Eligibility
  • Hold the right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced DBS certificate with online update service or willingness to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child-related references
