A local primary school in Markfield is seeking a SEN Learning Support Assistant and Midday Supervisor on a fixed-term basis. The role involves providing additional support for young people with special educational, social, and behaviour difficulties while helping them to integrate and progress in their learning. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join Mercenfeld Primary School as SEN Learning Support Assistant and Midday Supervisor on a fixed term basis for 26 hours and 20 minutes. The Learning Support Assistant’s main role is to provide additional support for young people with special educational, social, emotional, and behaviour difficulties. The SEN Learning Support Assistant will ensure that the young people can integrate as fully as possible in the activities generally undertaken by the other young people in the class and make progress. Duties will include running specific programmes and activities to assist the pupils’ individual learning and social needs. The SEN Learning Support Assistant will also be responsible for implementing the targets on the pupils’ Individual Education Plan (IEP) in liaison with class teachers and the SENCo.
