The Educate Group are looking for dedicated SEN teachers to work in a specialised setting across Key stage 3 and 4. You will be committed to providing a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment for students with SEN. The ideal candidate will have the ability to foster resilience, self-esteem, and academic growth, enabling students to reach their full potential. You will become a part of a highly skilled and collaborative team, striving to make education accessible, meaningful, and transformative. This role will suit both an experienced SEMH teacher or a teaching assistant starting out on a career in this specialised area of education.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes during teacher absences, maintaining a productive and respectful classroom atmosphere
• Implement planned lessons and activities provided by teachers, ensuring continuity of learning
• Manage student behavior effectively, promoting positive discipline and engagement
• Support students with their learning tasks, providing guidance and encouragement as needed
• Monitor student progress and report any issues or concerns to teaching staff promptly
• Assist with classroom organization, including setting up materials and maintaining a tidy learning environment
• Uphold school policies and safeguarding procedures to ensure a safe and inclusive space for all students

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with SEN/SEMH students or in educational settings is highly desirable
