An educational support organization in West Bromwich is seeking a SEN Academic Coach to provide daily 1:1 support for a Year 9 pupil with autism and ADHD. You'll offer daily 1:1 support to a Year 9 pupil, helping them follow routines, stay engaged in lessons, and build independence. You'll adapt tasks, use visual prompts, scaffold transitions, and record simple progress notes. You'll liaise with teachers, the SENCO, and parents to keep strategies consistent.
You communicate clearly, stay patient under pressure, and build trust quickly. You follow support plans, keep boundaries firm but fair, and focus on small, measurable wins. You're organised, reflective, and motivated to remove barriers to learning.
This 'Good' secondary in Sandwell has strong inclusion systems and clear routines. You'll join a supportive SEN team with practical guidance, shared resources, and regular check-ins to help you make impact quickly.
