GSL Education are hiring motivated SEMH Teaching Assistants to provide targeted support across diverse learning environments, with opportunities available in schools across the S25 region surrounding Dinnington.

As Social, Emotional and Mental Health Teaching Assistants (SEMH TA), you will support pupils in learning, confidence, and emotional regulation, while fostering a safe, structured, and encouraging environment. This vital role promotes positive behaviour and engagement in the classroom.

  • Provide tailored support to pupils with SEMH needs
  • Assist with classroom activities and adapt resources where required
  • Support emotional regulation, communication, and engagement
  • Work one-to-one or in small groups to meet individual needs
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and pastoral teams to support progress
Requirements
  • Previous experience working as SEMH Teaching Assistants or in a similar support role
  • Patience, resilience, and strong communication skills
  • Ability to support pupils with challenging behaviour and emotional needs
  • A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
