Location: Sheffield (S5)
Salary: £170 to £250 per day

As an SEMH Teacher, you will be integral to ensuring that students with SEMH needs receive the tailored support they need to succeed. We pride ourselves on being a supportive and collaborative team, dedicated to delivering high-quality education.

The Role:
In this role, you will work directly with students who have social, emotional, and mental health needs, helping them navigate both academic and social-emotional challenges. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Individualised Support: Develop and implement personalised learning strategies to help students access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess student progress and provide insightful feedback to parents and colleagues to support their academic growth.
  • Emotional Support: Foster a nurturing and secure environment, offering emotional guidance and encouragement to help students manage their anxieties and behavioral challenges.
  • Communication: Ensure effective communication with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in each student’s educational journey.
  • Inclusion: Advocate for inclusivity within the school community, ensuring that students with SEMH needs feel a sense of belonging and support.

Requirements:
• Relevant experience as an SEMH Teacher or in a similar role is preferred.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help students with SEMH needs succeed.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Adaptability and the ability to work collaboratively with the school team.
• Previous experience in supporting students with SEMH needs is advantageous.
