Security Systems Engineer

Field Based covering Bristol, Birmingham & Oxford,

Ideally based in Gloucester

Excellent Salary +Van + Benefits

  • To install and commission ANPR systems in accordance with recognised standards and company procedures and provide post install customer technical support.
  • To install and commission Automated Parking Barriers in accordance with published BS EN safety standards and company procedures and provide post install customer technical support.
  • To service Automated Parking Barriers to published safety standards and company procedures.
  • To install, commission and maintain self‑service payment systems and provide post install customer technical support.
  • To install, commission and maintain CCTV systems from a variety of manufacturers in accordance with company procedures. To provide customer support in the event of technical issues.
  • To maintain and repair legacy CCTV systems from a variety of manufacturers.
  • To install, commission and maintain IT Networking equipment to support the installation of security systems.
  • To install, terminate and test copper and fibre network cabling to manufacturer specifications.
  • To install, commission and maintain access control and intercom systems.
  • To distribute Body Worn Video cameras and provide user training on the safe operation of the device.
  • To provide customer technical support out of hours on all systems installed and / or maintained by SNAP Access and Security.
  • To install and maintain all relevant signage at customers sites to meet legal, contractual or customer requirements.
  • To provide training to customers on the correct and safe use of their system.
  • To ensure that any spares and equipment used during the visit are accurately recorded.
  • To ensure that the vehicle and the tools and equipment within it, are maintained to a high and legally compliant standard, ensuring that stock is rotated appropriately and maintained at a minimum level.
  • To ensure that all transported goods arrive in new, serviceable condition.
  • To ensure the prompt and accurate reporting of incidents and accidents.
  • To complete all relevant company documentation requirements and return promptly to the location required.
  • To liaise with the Operations Manager on any technical issues.
  • To embrace and support future technologies, products and services as dictated by company strategy and changing markets.
