About the role:
We are hiring a Sector Lead – Healthcare to join our BSI Knowledge Solutions team.
This is a senior leadership role focused on driving BSI’s position in the healthcare market, particularly around medical devices and innovation. You will shape and deliver strategies to support revenue growth, enhance BSI’s industry profile, and strengthen our impact in this important sector.
As Sector Lead, you’ll provide subject matter expertise, build strategic partnerships with policy, industry, and academic stakeholders, and represent BSI in key healthcare initiatives and external events. This is an exciting opportunity to combine technical expertise, commercial strategy, and thought leadership to support clients and influence the future of healthcare standards and regulation.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide subject matter expertise and leadership to support the growth of BSI’s solutions and content strategy related to medical device standards and regulation.
Deliver BSI’s healthcare standards strategy by bringing together operational teams and aligning development pathways for key areas of innovation and policy.
Generate leads, develop business cases, and implement new services and solutions based on market needs and engagement.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with industry, policy, and academic stakeholders, establishing yourself and BSI as credible and trusted partners.
Represent BSI at external meetings and events to maintain strong engagement and ensure BSI’s expertise stays at the forefront of the sector.
Establish and coordinate a scalable network of subject matter experts and professional writers to create high-quality, data-driven, sector-focused content.
Identify and leverage market and customer insights to guide the development of new and existing products.
Collaborate effectively across BSI teams to align strategies, share expertise, and support shared goals.
About You:
Subject matter expertise in the medical device domain, including regulation and innovation.
Strong understanding of key policy drivers in the UK healthcare system.
Skilled at building and managing internal and external relationships at a senior level.
Experience developing strategies, business cases, and securing funding and resources.
An understanding of national and international standardization processes is desirable.
