Section Manager ESOL – Young Learners

Position: Section Manager ESOL – Young Learners
Contract: Part-time, 21.6 hours per week (3 days), 52 weeks per year
Location: Hayes
Salary: £27,926 – £30,388 (actual salary for part-time hours)
Preferred Working Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
Closing Date: Wednesday 17th September 2025

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a dedicated and experienced Section Manager for ESOL to join the School of ESOL. This is a fantastic opportunity for an education professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for supporting young learners in developing their English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead on planning, implementation and delivery of ESOL provision for young learners.
• Manage and support a team of ESOL teaching staff.
• Teach across a range of ESOL courses.
• Take responsibility for the School’s Young Learner Full-time ESOL, Functional Maths, additional qualifications, and enrichment activities.
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement of provision.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree/professional qualification.
• An English Language Teaching qualification (CELTA, DELTA, Dip TESOL, MA ELT or equivalent).
• A full Level 5 teaching qualification recognised in the FE sector (PGCE, DET or equivalent).
• At least 3 years’ experience delivering ESOL courses.
• Experience in curriculum coordination and supervision of staff.
• Strong organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and support colleagues.
