Job description
Overview

Science Technician. Salary: Grade 3, Scale point 5 to 6 (£25,584 to £25,989 FTE). Actual salary: £17,403 to £17,679. Preferred hours: 8.30am – 3.10pm. Term time only (190 days). Required: ASAP.

We are looking to appoint a Science Technician to support a highly successful Science Department. The role encompasses preparation of materials for Biology, Chemistry and Physics lessons. A background in Science is necessary. You will be joining a supportive, successful and highly motivated team that has our school motto of "Aspire to become elite" at the heart of their enhanced, rich curriculum model. The school is co-educational, starting from September 2024 for Year 7 and September 2025 for Year 8 (with boys in Years 9–11) and a co-educational Sixth Form.

The school has a newly refurbished subject block and every classroom now has a ViewSonic interactive screen. Facilities across the school include a new heating system, revamped technology including a food room, whole school repaint, new interactive whiteboards, upgraded sporting facilities, an indoor swimming pool, a sports hall and conditioning centre, all-weather pitches including MUGA and a new performance and conditioning centre of excellence for staff and students. Academically, the school has a positive progress measure and students achieve above the national average. The curriculum is clearly mapped and was rated strong as part of Ofsted 2021. The Interview Process
