The school is seeking a dedicated and resilient Science Teacher to join a specialised school in Rugby. This is a permanent, full-time position with an immediate start, offering a unique opportunity to work with secondary-aged pupils who have social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Your core mission is to plan, prepare, and deliver engaging science lessons that cater to a wide range of abilities, from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4. You'll be a vital part of a collaborative team, working alongside in-house psychologists, teaching assistants, and therapy professionals to support each student's academic and personal growth. The role goes beyond just teaching; you'll be a trusted mentor, helping to build pupils' confidence, resilience, and self-esteem. Your ability to create a calm and safe learning environment is paramount, and you will be responsible for encouraging and maintaining socially acceptable behaviour.
