Role:
Could you listen to children read in school? Why not become a Schoolreader? No qualifications are needed to be a volunteer, just a good command of English and a bit of spare time each week. Schoolreaders will match you to an appropriate local school. Volunteers say the experience is incredibly rewarding.

About the organisation:
Schoolreaders provide volunteers to give one-to-one reading practice to children in their primary schools. This helps the children build confidence in their reading abilities and allows them to practice in a safe and comforting environment.
