A nurturing educational institution in Heywood is seeking a School Based Family Support Worker. The role entails collaborating with safeguarding teams and providing guidance to families for emotional support. Candidates should hold GCSEs in Maths and English and an NVQ Level 3 in health or social care. Ensuring the well-being and success of learners is paramount. The position is permanent, full-time, and offers a salary range of £32,016 - £35,412.
Oak Haven School is a nurturing, inclusive, and specialist SEMH setting for Key Stage 2 to 4 learners with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Our mission is to provide a safe, empowering environment where every young person is supported to Empower, Heal, and Thrive.
Newly established in September 2025, we are now looking for a School Based Family Support Worker to join our team. Working closely with safeguarding and welfare teams, the successful candidate will work in partnership with our families providing support to allow our learners to become empowered, heal and thrive.
Working closely with our Children’s Welfare Officer, the successful candidate will liaise with families, providing them with guidance and practical support to remove barriers to learning and support attendance.
