Full-Time Attendance Officer - Featherstone Area (Potential for Permanent Contract)

Working in Partnership with Reed Education

Reed Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Attendance Officer to work full-time at a welcoming and inclusive school in the Featherstone area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about improving pupil attendance and making a real difference in the lives of children and families.

This role is offered on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday, 8:15am to 3:45pm, term-time only. There is strong potential for the successful candidate to be offered a permanent contract directly with the school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote and support excellent attendance across the school.
  • Work closely with pupils, families, and staff to identify and address attendance concerns.
  • Conduct home visits where necessary (a full UK driving licence, clean record, and business insurance are required).
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and contribute to safeguarding procedures.
  • Undertake Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) training as part of the role.

  • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and staff.
