A leading UK financial institution is seeking a Sanctions Manager to lead and execute large-scale sanctions change projects. The successful candidate will design and implement oversight capabilities, ensuring sanctions risk is identified and mitigated effectively. Applicants should have extensive experience with sanctions regimes, retail banking, and strong communication skills. Lead and execute large-scale sanctions change and transformation projects. The Sanctions Manager will have a critical role in designing and implementing the Group's sanctions oversight capabilities and approach, ensuring the sanctions risk is consistently identified and mitigated. The role holder will be accountable for owning and iterating the Group's sanctions policies and working with all business areas to ensure its effective implementation. The focus will be on ensuring sanctions risk awareness across the Group through training and communications and ensuring that the risk is considered in the design and ongoing operation of our controls. The role will also involve leading conversations with 1st line on emerging sanctions risks and appropriate responses. This role is central to delivering the sanctions components of the multi-year Integrated Financial Crime (IFC) strategy.
London, 6 months, PAYE only. Remote: Hybrid (up to 3 times a month in the office). 35 hours per week, flexible across 5 days.
