A leading life sciences company located in Slough is looking for a Sample Coordinator to manage the incoming and outgoing samples. The Role: A Sample Coordinator at Lonza will be the key point of contact for incoming and outgoing samples across three buildings on site. The coordinator will coordinate the movement of samples, liaising between scientists and project Managers, by ensuring samples are tracked, received, and distributed throughout the product life cycle.

Candidates must have strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Please note that Weekend / Bank Holiday work will be required and the shift pattern for this role is Tuesday to Saturday 10:00 to 18:00

Key Responsibilities

• Receipt, storage and distribution of key reagents, manufacturing and Pilot samples.
• Coordinate shipments of key reagents, manufacturing, and pilot samples with delivery to the shipping department for outbound shipping.
• Assist in scheduling and completing sample disposals in collaboration with QA.
• Inventory Management and stock check of key reagents, manufacturing and Pilot samples. Notification of gaps in services provided.
• Completing the creation of key reagents stocks, including labelling, aseptic aliquoting, inventory registration, storage, supply of working stock and shipping.
• Maintenance of cold storage facilities where material is stored, completing daily review checks on storage units.
• Processing of batch paperwork to include document scanning and saving to network locations.
