Job Purpose

Our purpose at KOMPAN is to create healthier and happier communities through impactful outdoor play and fitness solutions. The opportunity comes as part of our growth plans to develop resources and support for the sales team, creating efficiencies. This role supports the design, development and installation of innovative playground schemes by producing high-quality CAD drawings and eye‑catching 3D generated presentations. The Designer will play a key role in producing and pricing creative concepts that meet safety standards and client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Interpret client briefs, site surveys, and drawings to deliver creative, functional, and cost‑effective 2D design solutions and quotations.
• Produce 3D visuals and illustrations/plans for submissions to clients.
• Collaborate with design colleagues, the sales team, and contracts teams to ensure feasibility and compliance.
• Manage third‑party quotations.
• Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring best practices are implemented.
• Develop, implement and monitor policies and guidelines for design processes.
• Report to management.

Skills & Experience

• Design‑related degree (e.g. product design, graphic design, interior design).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D Studio Max; experience with Photoshop and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Desirable experience with Revit.
• Experience in landscape, architectural, or product design – preferably in playground or outdoor leisure sectors.
• Knowledge of UK playground safety standards is advantageous.
