Overview

Hours: 44 hours per week; Monday - Friday 9am - 6pm, Saturday 9am - 5pm and Sunday 11am - 3pm (one day off midweek and Sundays on rota basis). Salary: OTE up to £70,000 with basic between £45,000 to £50,000 depending on experience. Lookers Newcastle Nissan & Changan are seeking an ambitious and talented Sales Manager to join our team.

As a Sales Manager, you will act as a role model for customer service excellence, lead by example, develop long-lasting relationships with customers, and coach the team to do likewise. You will report to the General Manager and oversee day-to-day showroom operations, including vehicle valuations, sales, workshop-to-showroom processes, and showroom presentation. You will collaborate with the divisional buyer, Aftersales team, detailers, and photography team to deliver marketing standards.

Responsibilities
  • Managing the full sales process, from web inquiry to phone and showroom.
  • Managing staff performance through structured 121s, training, and development.
  • Implementing department targets and brand KPIs.
  • Buying in vehicles and maintaining up-to-date stock pricing.
  • Ensuring full FCA compliance within the Sales Department.
  • Managing and owning customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience in a similar premium automotive environment with a proven track record in transactional sales and delivering exceptional customer service experiences.
  • Experience in leading a highly motivated team and maximizing performance of each team member.
  • Experience monitoring financial performance against budget and addressing shortfalls promptly.
  • Ability to understand finance and insurance product regulations.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
