Job description

Job Title: Sales & Customer Service Manager (Temp to Perm)
Salary: £35,000 £40,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00
Location: Bletchingley
Contract: Temp to Perm

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and support a team of sales and customer service advisor
  • Monitor individual and team performance against KPIs and targets
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and one-to-ones
  • Manage disciplinary and capability procedures in line with company policy
  • Monitor live and recorded phone calls to ensure quality, compliance, and sales effectiveness
  • Identify training needs and support ongoing development of team members
  • Keep up-to-date staff records (CSCS, CISRS, training logs, holidays etc.
  • Drive sales performance while maintaining excellent customer experience
  • Handle escalated customer queries and complaints professionally
  • Produce performance reports and provide feedback to senior management
  • Ensure adherence to company processes, regulatory standards, and best practices
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience in a sales Manager or Customer Service Manager role
  • Strong background in performance management and people leadership
  • Experience conducting disciplinary processes and performance improvement plans
  • Confident in call monitoring, coaching, and quality assurance
  • Strong communication, motivational, and organisational skills
  • Results-driven with a customer-focused approach
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • Familiarity with compliance or industry certifications is a bonus (e.g., Constructionline)
