Job summary

A family-owned retail business in Malton is seeking a Sales Assistant. You will be responsible for ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, maintaining store standards, and processing sales. The ideal candidate should possess good communication skills and a friendly personality. This is a part-time position requiring 16 hours over 4 days, including weekends. Benefits include annual leave, a pension scheme, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

Overview

Yorkshire Trading Company are a family owned and run business with 35 stores throughout Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and the North East; a busy E:Commerce operation and outdoor events teams who trade nationwide.

We now have an opportunity for an additional recruit to the sales assistant team in our Malton store.

The position offered is: 16 hours over 4 days to include weekends on a rota basis and may include some early mornings

Responsibilities
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
  • Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
  • Maintain a fully stocked store
  • Ascertain customers’ needs and wants
  • Welcome and greet customers
  • Process sales through our Epos till system - Training given
  • Actively involved in receiving deliveries
  • Keep up to date with product information
  • Accurately describe product features and benefits
  • Follow all companies policies and procedures
Requirements
