Adecco are pleased to be recruiting for a Safeguarding Co‑ordinator to work within the Leicestershire Police Force.

Location: Wigston Police Station
Contract Type: Temporary
Working Pattern: Full Time Monday to Friday 37 hours per week
Hourly Rate: £15.79 per hour
End Date: February 2026

About the Role

As the Safeguarding Co‑ordinator, you will:

  • Conduct risk assessments to ensure that all reports and referrals concerning at‑risk individuals are effectively reviewed and processed.
  • Collaborate with partner agencies and internal stakeholders to share essential information.
  • Research and interrogate police systems to compile comprehensive reports.
  • Attend multi‑agency and disclosure meetings, actively contributing to safeguarding discussions.
  • Provide guidance and advice to Police colleagues on safeguarding matters.
Key Responsibilities
  • Compiling safeguarding reports for adults and children.
  • Attending multi‑agency meetings to represent the police effectively.
  • Researching and processing safeguarding referrals with precision.
  • Identifying high‑risk cases and ensuring appropriate escalation.
  • Maintaining diaries and planning appointments to support smooth operations.
Essential Skills
  • A level of education in English Language or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in a confidential environment, with strong analytical and investigative skills.
  • The ability to compile data accurately and concisely from various sources.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capacity to engage confidently at all levels.
  • Strong organisational abilities, capable of managing a busy workload and meeting deadlines.
Desirable Skills
  • Previous experience in multi‑agency working or a safeguarding environment.
  • Understanding of data protection legislation and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Competent keyboard skills and a good level of numeracy and literacy.
