Responsibilities
  • Carry out physiotherapy assessments and treatments; develop individualised therapeutic treatment programmes for a specialised caseload.
  • Ensure a high standard of care for each patient and work with patients, families or carers, multi‑agency teams and disciplines involved.
  • Communicate with patients, carers, agencies and other disciplines in an appropriate manner, often with sensitive information, diagnoses or outcomes.
  • Supervise technical instructors, students and other members of the multidisciplinary or multi‑agency teams.
  • Train and supervise patients, families or carers and staff from other disciplines or agencies to carry out programmes of care devised by the therapist.

Qualifications

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable. English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

The Band 5’s will join a large supportive innovative team. Some rotations offer the opportunity to work in the Community Hospitals in Conwy and Denbighshire as well as Holywell Community Hospital. The Physiotherapy service in BCUHB offers a whole career pathway to Band 8A as a clinical advanced practitioner. Service improvement and development is encouraged and all staff have access to regular supervision and training.
