Overview

Rotational Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist - Band 6, 1.4 WTE Posts.

We are expanding and ready to take applications from physiotherapists with MSK experience for a variety of roles. If you want to develop your MSK skills, NELFT has a well established band 7/8a team including ESPs to support your development as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist. We offer a blended model of face to face and virtual clinics with the option to spend 1 day working from home with a laptop provided. Our small, friendly teams work across clinics in the London Boroughs of Havering and Barking and Dagenham. Interviews will be held in person – no virtual interviews will be offered for this post.

Responsibilities
  • To provide a high standard of assessment and diagnosis, based on clinical findings, and develop and implement an individualised treatment programme in conjunction with the patient referred to the Physiotherapy Musculoskeletal Service.
  • Educate and train Junior and Student Physiotherapists, Physiotherapy Assistants and Support Workers.
  • To be an active member of the in-service training programme.
  • Maintain own competence through CPD.
  • To act as appraiser of junior staff, using the service appraisal model to facilitate staff development and the production of a PDP for the junior.
  • To maintain good professional standards of behaviour and appearance.
  • To undertake the collection of data for use in service audit, and departmental research initiatives.
Requirements and environment

The successful candidates will be highly organised individuals with excellent communication skills and a wide range of clinical experience. The ability to travel efficiently across the geographical area covered by NELFT is essential.

Starting with NELFT

NELFT places great importance on welcoming new starters. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks, including mandatory training, systems training and equipment allocation. New starters will also have opportunities to meet the executive team, senior managers, and attend drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing, and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

Probationary Period

This post will be subject to a probationary period.

High Cost Area Supplement - Outer London

This post attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum £4,714 to maximum £5,941 per annum, pro rata for part time).
