Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' estimating experience within the roofing sector, ideally refurbishment.
• Strong background in pitched and flat roofing projects.
• Experience working closely with clients, suppliers, and manufacturers.
• Solar estimating experience highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate cost estimates for pitched and flat roofing projects.
• Follow up on tenders to maintain client relationships and identify opportunities.
• Obtain competitive quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Provide updated cost information during project delivery.

Skills

Strong technical understanding of roofing systems and materials

Confident negotiator with suppliers and manufacturers

Proficient in estimating software (Swiftest preferred)

High attention to detail and accuracy

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education

Roofing or construction-related qualification (NVQ, HNC/HND or similar)

CSCS card

Tools
