Job description

We are an artisan roastery, using a unique wood roasting process, with a focus on speciality coffee, sustainability and people. While we build and grow our online presence as well as retail and wholesale portfolio we’re looking for a methodical individual with initiative and an interest in coffee to join our team. As the production assistant you will support the head roaster in all aspects of the business from preparing roast sessions, to packing orders and getting involved with weekly team cupping. Initially you’ll start in a part time position but as the business expands there is opportunity for the role to develop.

Daily tasks include:

  • Maintaining and cleaning the roastery, equipment, storage and space to ensure there is a clean and tidy environment to work in
  • Chopping wood, preparing for and supporting roast sessions
  • Checking, weighing, packing and preparing coffee for retail and wholesale orders
  • Managing, preparing and packing online retail orders and arranging postage
  • Taking part in cupping with the team
  • Attending occasional coffee events
  • Opportunity to learn to roast
  • Potential opportunity for travel on an origin trips in the future

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From £12.30 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 12 per week
