Our Opportunity
We have a really exciting opportunity for a Bid Risk Manager to join Thales Optronics and Missile Electronics business. The purpose of this role is to lead on the implementation and continuous improvement of risk management practices across OME bids and projects. Providing training, mentoring, guidance and acting as independent risk reviewer on business-critical projects.
The role will require the ability to deliver risk management expertise and guidance across a range of projects to ensure that best practice is being applied and that risk management capability strengths and weaknesses are identified and managed. This will involve providing coaching and direct at elbow support to less experienced project teams (e.g. Project Managers, Project Controllers, Work Package Managers).

It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance prior to commencing employment. To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
